Professional Summary

I am a seasoned professional with productive experience in an office environment gained during my work for the US government and later my work for two major American corporations.  Though a recent portion of this office work was in Procurement, I feel I am best suited to work in Accounting.  This is by virtue of the bulk of my work experience, by aptitude, and by personal preference.  As an Accountant, I regularly performed many tasks, including payroll calculation for and payment to over 100 employees, accounts payable, general cashiering, income audit, and a variety of reconciliations.  Throughout my career I have consistently proven my ability to work effectively under pressure and to a schedule, as well as to communicate and cooperate with coworkers, other departments, vendors, contractors, and management to ensure that all organizational goals are met in a timely manner.

·   October 2012 – May 2014 – Spending time with family after time working away, especially critical as it was during and immediately after my wife's pregnancy with our second daughter.

·   October 2012 – October 2013 – Worked on completing my degree, a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology.  I did complete meet all requirements and received the degree in October 2013

·   May 2014 – September 2014 – Worked on cleanup and renovation of a house I own in Hemet which was left in poor condition by my former tenants.

Fluor, LOGCAP IV, transitioned in place in Afghanistan from previous to current contractor, 2010 – 2012

·   Purchasing locally available items required by the U.S. military in support of their mission in Afghanistan. 

·   Leasing vehicles and heavy equipment for use in support of military operations in Afghanistan

·   Assigned to special project to help find and, working with suppliers and Accounts Payable in home office, correct any errors in lease invoices and any inconsistencies with lease terms

·   Worked in Excel to create reports for upper management and to analyze data I exported from SAP, including by use of pivot tables, macros, and arrays

·   Created Access database with multiple tables, queries, and forms, to track lease invoices.  I created the required queries using SQL and VBA.

KBR, LOGCAP III, Kuwait / Georgia / Afghanistan, 2004 – 2010

·   Part of a team responsible for all of KBR’s and the Client’s locally sourced material and equipment needs in Georgia and Afghanistan under the LOGCAP III contract.

·   Prepared Purchase Awards with all required documentation including, as necessary, PRB Phase I and Phase II review packages, ACO Consent packages, and Technical Evaluations

·   Developed Excel spreadsheets which used complex formulas to streamline some routine but critical processes in the preparation of Procurement documents

·   Reviewed invoicing against Subcontracts to ensure all criteria were met for release of funds

·   Used various macros and formulas in Excel to process raw data queried from an Access database I maintained

·   Regularly prepared the Aging Report and other related reports for Subcontracts invoices

·   Met weekly with Accounting & Finance Manager, Subcontracts Manager, Procurement Senior Manager, and Deputy Project Manager to discuss Aging Report and other related reports

·   Regularly performed Bank and Petty Cash reconciliations, ensuring the amount of cash on hand or in bank accounts was exactly what data queried from SAP and processed in Excel predicted it should be, and I prepared reports documenting these reconciliations
